چکیده

Abstract The energy demand to produce cellulose nanofibrils, CNFs, is high and additionally the cost of starting material, pulp, substantial as purity dissolving pulp generally used. Pulps aimed for board paper are produced at higher yield they contain hemicelluloses and, in case unbleached lignin, would be a more economical material CNFs. It interest understand how presence hemicellulose lignin affects fibrillation process CNF properties. Kraft cooks softwood were performed well kraft with addition polysulfide increase content. Part pulps bleached remove residual thus making it possible compare without lignin. Higher amount had an obstructive effect on enzymatic pre-treatment whereas no adverse enzyme accessibility. Increased charged groups improved accessibility enzymes. Both carboxymethylated when by carboxymethylation was employed. However, partly dissolved hemicelluloses. tensile strength films independent chemical composition strategy. since decreased DP more, from enzymatically pre-treated lower strength.

Lignin Isolation from Pulp

Several different enzymatic, chemical and mechanical methods have been developed for the isolation of lignin from wood and pulp. However, due to the heterogeneous nature of wood and pulp fibers and the heterogeneity that exists between individual fibers, no method is currently available for the quantitative isolation of native or residual lignin without the risk of structural changes during the...

Chemical Thermostabilization for the Preparation of Carbon Fibers from Softwood Lignin

A thermally fusible softwood lignin was directly isolated by a solvolysis of cedar wood chips with a mixture of polyethylene glycol 400 (PEG 400) and sulfuric acid. Its fusibility was found to be due to a PEG moiety introduced into the lignin by the solvolysis. The lignin was easily formed into fibers by melt-spinning at temperatures ranging from 145 to 172 o C without any modification. The lig...

Extraction of Hemicellulose and Lignin from Sugarcane Bagasse for Biopolymer Films: Green Process

A hemicellulose is any of several heteropolymers , such as arabinoxylans, present along with cellulose in almost all plant cell walls. Hemicellulose has a random, amorphous structure with little strength. It is easily hydrolyzed by dilute acid or base as well as myriad hemicellulase enzymes. In this study, lignin and hemicellulose was extracted from sugarcane bagasse using the ammonium hydrolys...

Mean Intrinsic Tensile Properties of Stone Groundwood Fibers from Softwood

Stone groundwood (SGW) is a fibrous matter commonly prepared in a high yield process, and mainly used for papermaking applications. In this work, the use of SGW fibers is explored as reinforcing element of polypropylene (PP) composites. Due to its chemical and superficial features, the use of coupling agents is needed for a good adhesion and stress transfer across the fiber-matrix interface. Th...

Abundance and reactivity of dibenzodioxocins in softwood lignin.

To define the abundance and comprehend the reactivity of dibenzodioxocins in lignin, model compound studies, specific degradation experiments on milled wood lignin, and molecular modeling calculations have been performed. Quantitative (31)P NMR measurements of the increase of biphenolic hydroxyl groups formed after a series of alkaline degradations in the presence of hydrosulfide anions (kraft ...
